I wonder where we are now
Assuming that he’s gone
Of course he has - the man’s resigned
Though he did nothing wrong
I wonder ‘bout his legacy
What he leaves within his wake
In the ripples of the bluster
The truth and what was fake
Was he Socialist or Tory
Or opportunist Brexiteer
Who said you’re better off in Europe
To his great mate Vladimir
The fastest vaccine rollout
Helped by the NHS
Was levelling up for those with nowt
Or you must do more for less
Did he feed the disillusioned
With visions that appeal
Or divide and rule to conquer
With a diet of ideals
And are we a better country now
United - are we one
I guess it’s all just trivial
Cos he got Brexit done.
